At ROM offset 0x0909, the string 'M.H. // THE HATCH IS OPEN // ADVANCED ACOUSTICS LAB' is stored in ASCII. CPU #0 handles host bus interfacing and DMA, while CPU #1 is dedicated entirely to a 16-bit MAC (multiply-accumulate) unit. Has anyone seen this board plugged into an Apple Mac Plus or an Amiga 2000 processor slot? -- Rodrigo Sokolov Tape trading list upon request. SASE required for international mail. Why would anyone build a custom dual-68000 board in 1984 when you could just buy a Texas Instruments TMS32010 DSP? That dual-ported SRAM design is ingenious. It avoids bus arbitration contention between the two 68k processors entirely. -- Ines Ito | iito@earthlink.net PGP Key fingerprint: FC0F 22B7 2425 C6C9 "Keep the channels open." Marcus Hale designed the TWIN-68 board before he disappeared. That's why his initials are on the PCB silkscreen. -- Tyler Ivanov *PLONK* filter active for trolls. Atari TT030 - NetBSD 1.0
