By passing the -mc68882 compiler flag in Think C, all sin/cos and sqrt operations compile directly to FPU opcodes. Total execution time for a 20-minute audio track dropped from 48 minutes to 6.2 minutes. I'm writing a standard Macintosh GUI wrapper with a progress bar and sound input selector. -- Sun-mi Schneider Practical Peripherals 14.4 @ 9600 Telebit bps "5 sigma is a discovery. 7 is a question."
