A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. Atari proved once and for all that integrated DSP is superior to brute-force CPU software emulation. -- === Sven Lee === Dept of Electrical Engineering, EarthLink Network "Measuring a record you own is listening, not piracy." I tested this with a vinyl rip fed into the Falcon mic input. Carrier lock occurred at second 14 of 'Synthetic Dawn'. My 14.4k connection dropped twice trying to fetch this thread.
