At ROM offset 0x0909, the string 'M.H. // THE HATCH IS OPEN // ADVANCED ACOUSTICS LAB' is stored in ASCII. The board features two 68000 CPUs clocked at 12 MHz sharing a dual-ported 128KB static RAM bank. One 28-pin EPROM socket (labeled U14) is completely empty. What firmware was supposed to be in that socket? -- Camila García Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy, Moscow. ------------------------------------------------------------ From dhernandez@cern.ch Mon Apr 24 11:28:02 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fi!relcom!kiae!cern!dhernandez From: dhernandez@cern.ch (Dong-hyun Hernández) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Observation: TWIN-68 Rev C coprocessor board - schematic analysis & EPROM dump Message-ID: <1995Apr24.112802.2436@cern.ch> Date: Mon, 24 Apr 1995 11:28:02 GMT References: <1995Apr22.174302.1715@kiae.su> Organization: European Laboratory for Particle Physics, Geneva NNTP-Posting-Host: cern.ch X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 9 In article <1995Apr22.174302.1715@kiae.su>, cgarcia@kiae.su (Camila García) writes: > Hardware teardown of the dual-68000 DSP accelerator board used in the Stardust project.
