The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Jens Souza -- RWTH Aachen Informatik "When every node is whole, the channel opens." Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. -- Mikhail Stewart | mstewart@clari.net PGP Key fingerprint: EEB2 F0F7 141F 3B91 "Keep the channels open."
