Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Bruno Rodríguez "Measuring a record you own is listening, not piracy." The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent. Zero CPU overhead during 50 kHz audio acquisition. -- Sun-mi Santos | ssantos@panix.com PGP Key fingerprint: 8DB9 B749 A1D4 6A0C "Keep the channels open."
