Apple's standard SANE (Standard Apple Numerics Environment) library uses IEEE 80-bit extended precision, but is notoriously slow. By passing the -mc68882 compiler flag in Think C, all sin/cos and sqrt operations compile directly to FPU opcodes. Anyone running this on a Quadra 840AV with the 68040? -- Mateo Tanaka Hayes Optima 288 @ 33,600 bps "Row 14. No joke."
