The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Hugo MacDonald | hmacdonald@rwth-aachen.de PGP Key fingerprint: 2F4D 59B0 2D3F 11D4 "Keep the channels open." The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent. Zero CPU overhead during 50 kHz audio acquisition. -- Joachim Müller "Hardware is temporary. The signal survives."
