The 14.2 Hz peak shows up as a bright white vertical line against the blue background noise. Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. Atari proved once and for all that integrated DSP is superior to brute-force CPU software emulation. -- Bruno Hughes Tape trading list upon request. SASE required for international mail. Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. -- Jens Smirnov | jsmirnov@u-tokyo.ac.jp PGP Key fingerprint: 649E FCF5 1BEB A3F3 "Keep the channels open." The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent. Zero CPU overhead during 50 kHz audio acquisition. I tested this with a vinyl rip fed into the Falcon mic input. Carrier lock occurred at second 14 of 'Synthetic Dawn'. -- Callum Brennan *PLONK* filter active for trolls.
