Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Marisol Tanaka | mtanaka@pipeline.com PGP Key fingerprint: CD45 D4CC 4FBC 02E8 "Keep the channels open." The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent. Zero CPU overhead during 50 kHz audio acquisition. -- Raj Andersson *PLONK* filter active for trolls. Sun 3/60 (SunOS 4.1.1) - NetBSD 1.0
