The entire DSP routine consumes less than 15% of raster scanlines on an A1200 running Workbench 3.1. I wrote a 64-tap FIR filter in pure 68k assembly using movem.l and dbra loop unrolling to downsample to 64 Hz. Please make sure it's compatible with Kickstart 1.3 for those of us who haven't upgraded our A500s to 3.1 yet. -- Brian Andersson Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (DGSCA). ------------------------------------------------------------ From ysouza@netcom.com Sun Oct 16 01:52:54 1994 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!netcom!ysouza From: ysouza@netcom.com (Yuki Souza) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: WTB/WTT: Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1994Oct16.015254.3549@netcom.com> Date: Sun, 16 Oct 1994 01:52:54 GMT References: <1994Oct12.060454.2475@titech.ac.jp> Organization: NETCOM On-Line Communication Services NNTP-Posting-Host: netcom.com X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 10 In article <1994Oct12.060454.2475@titech.ac.jp>, bvasiliev@titech.ac.jp (Bastien Vasiliev) writes: > Testing custom audio input routines on an Amiga 1200 with a standard parallel-port sampler. > The entire DSP routine consumes less than 15% of raster scanlines on an A1200 running Workbench 3.1. Brilliant use of Paula DMA! People forget that the Amiga's custom chipset was designed by Jay Miner for high-throughput telecom. -- Yuki Souza "The hatch is open.
