When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! I wrote a 64-tap FIR filter in pure 68k assembly using movem.l and dbra loop unrolling to downsample to 64 Hz. Source code and executable will be released on Aminet under mus/misc/stardust_amiga.lha next week. -- Mei Schneider Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Tokyo Institute of Technology Computer Centre. ------------------------------------------------------------ From srobertson@cam.ac.uk Fri Oct 13 21:01:00 1995 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!cam!srobertson From: srobertson@cam.ac.uk (Steve Robertson) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1995Oct13.210100.5800@cam.ac.uk> Date: Fri, 13 Oct 1995 21:01:00 GMT References: <1995Oct12.073900.5376@titech.ac.jp> Organization: University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory NNTP-Posting-Host: cam.ac.uk X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 12 In article <1995Oct12.073900.5376@titech.ac.jp>, mschneider@titech.ac.jp (Mei Schneider) writes: > Wrote an Amiga assembly program that uses Paula's DMA audio channels to sample and track the Stardust subcarrier. > When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! PC users spend $3,000 on Sound Blasters and Pentium chips and still can't do what a $500 Amiga was doing in 1985. Unsubscribe me from this list!
