A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Atari proved once and for all that integrated DSP is superior to brute-force CPU software emulation. -- Fiona Moreno Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of ClariNet Communications Corp. ------------------------------------------------------------ From lstewart@delphi.com Sat Nov 04 12:05:10 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-de!hansebox!delphi!lstewart From: lstewart@delphi.com (Lars Stewart) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Atari Falcon 030 Motorola DSP56001 code for Stardust carrier extraction Message-ID: <1995Nov04.120510.7946@delphi.com> Date: Sat, 04 Nov 1995 12:05:10 GMT References: <1995Nov02.093210.3889@clari.net> Organization: Delphi Internet Services NNTP-Posting-Host: delphi.com X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 11 In article <1995Nov02.093210.3889@clari.net>, fmoreno@clari.net (Fiona Moreno) writes: > The Atari Falcon is the ultimate machine for decoding Project Stardust audio.
