The board features two 68000 CPUs clocked at 12 MHz sharing a dual-ported 128KB static RAM bank. Disassembling ROM #0 reveals an initialization routine that checks for a hardware dongle marked 'ORION-ENC-84'. One 28-pin EPROM socket (labeled U14) is completely empty. What firmware was supposed to be in that socket? -- Lars Oliveira Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of RWTH Aachen Informatik. ------------------------------------------------------------ From nivanov@demon.co.uk Wed May 18 18:59:25 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!ukc!fennimore!demon!nivanov From: nivanov@demon.co.uk (Nadia Ivanov) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] TWIN-68 Rev C coprocessor board - schematic analysis & EPROM dump Message-ID: <1994May18.185925.3125@demon.co.uk> Date: Wed, 18 May 1994 18:59:25 GMT References: <1994May17.172025.1118@rwth-aachen.de> Organization: Demon Internet Services UK NNTP-Posting-Host: demon.co.uk X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 9 In article <1994May17.172025.1118@rwth-aachen.de>, loliveira@rwth-aachen.de (Lars Oliveira) writes: > Managed to dump the 27256 EPROMs from the TWIN-68 Rev C board recovered from Ashford Poly.
