The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Sergei Kim Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy, Moscow. ------------------------------------------------------------ From dandersson@mit.edu Sun Apr 14 17:43:01 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!mit!dandersson From: dandersson@mit.edu (Dave Andersson) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: [INFO] Atari Falcon 030 Motorola DSP56001 code for Stardust carrier extraction Message-ID: <1996Apr14.174301.9515@mit.edu> Date: Sun, 14 Apr 1996 17:43:01 GMT References: <1996Apr13.101101.3532@kiae.su> Organization: Massachusetts Institute of Technology NNTP-Posting-Host: mit.edu X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 9 In article <1996Apr13.101101.3532@kiae.su>, skim@kiae.su (Sergei Kim) writes: > The Atari Falcon is the ultimate machine for decoding Project Stardust audio.
