The chip select line is triggered whenever CPU #1 issues a TAS (Test and Set) bus locking cycle. Without U14, the board can track the 14.2 Hz carrier, but cannot descramble the binary payload of Nodes 11 through 14. Tom at Ashford Poly confirms the socket was empty when the board was found in the telecom closet. -- Élodie Sokolov Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Oxford University Computing Laboratory. ------------------------------------------------------------ From aramirez@kth.se Tue Jan 02 13:33:46 1996 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!kth!aramirez From: aramirez@kth.se (Aiko Ramírez) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Discussion: Disassembling socket U14 firmware on the TWIN-68 board Message-ID: <1996Jan02.133346.2179@kth.se> Date: Tue, 02 Jan 1996 13:33:46 GMT References: <1996Jan01.020846.6358@ox.ac.uk> Organization: Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm NNTP-Posting-Host: kth.se X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 9 In article <1996Jan01.020846.6358@ox.ac.uk>, esokolov@ox.ac.uk (Élodie Sokolov) writes: > Hardware disassembly report for Motorola hardware hackers.
