CPU #0 handles host bus interfacing and DMA, while CPU #1 is dedicated entirely to a 16-bit MAC (multiply-accumulate) unit. Disassembling ROM #0 reveals an initialization routine that checks for a hardware dongle marked 'ORION-ENC-84'. Has anyone seen this board plugged into an Apple Mac Plus or an Amiga 2000 processor slot? -- Valeria Smirnov Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of UC Berkeley Department of EECS. ------------------------------------------------------------ From hrodriguez@cam.ac.uk Sat Aug 20 09:34:51 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fi!relcom!kiae!cam!hrodriguez From: hrodriguez@cam.ac.uk (Hugo Rodríguez) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Data: TWIN-68 Rev C coprocessor board - schematic analysis & EPROM dump Message-ID: <1994Aug20.093451.8915@cam.ac.uk> Date: Sat, 20 Aug 1994 09:34:51 GMT References: <1994Aug19.154951.4885@berkeley.edu> Organization: University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory NNTP-Posting-Host: cam.ac.uk X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 8 In article <1994Aug19.154951.4885@berkeley.edu>, vsmirnov@berkeley.edu (Valeria Smirnov) writes: > Hardware teardown of the dual-68000 DSP accelerator board used in the Stardust project.
