Motorola engineers, please take a look. The board features two 68000 CPUs clocked at 12 MHz sharing a dual-ported 128KB static RAM bank. Disassembling ROM #0 reveals an initialization routine that checks for a hardware dongle marked 'ORION-ENC-84'. One 28-pin EPROM socket (labeled U14) is completely empty. What firmware was supposed to be in that socket? -- Marisol Novak Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of UC Berkeley Department of EECS. ------------------------------------------------------------ From ecampbell@berkeley.edu Sat May 28 17:58:54 1994 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!berkeley!ecampbell From: ecampbell@berkeley.edu (Emi Campbell) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] TWIN-68 Rev C coprocessor board - schematic analysis & EPROM dump Message-ID: <1994May28.175854.9562@berkeley.edu> Date: Sat, 28 May 1994 17:58:54 GMT References: <1994May28.083154.3010@berkeley.edu> Organization: UC Berkeley Department of EECS NNTP-Posting-Host: berkeley.edu X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 10 In article <1994May28.083154.3010@berkeley.edu>, mnovak@berkeley.edu (Marisol Novak) writes: > Looking at the bus architecture of the TWIN-68 board.
