Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Katrin Kuznetsov Tape trading list upon request. SASE required for international mail. The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent. Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. -- Valeria Ramírez -- ClariNet Communications Corp "There are 14 nodes and only 10 countries.
