When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! By setting up Paula's audio DMA to double-buffer incoming 8-bit samples, the 68020 has plenty of cycles left for the Costas loop. Source code and executable will be released on Aminet under mus/misc/stardust_amiga.lha next week. -- Élodie Nilsson *PLONK* filter active for trolls. 486DX4/100 (FreeBSD 2.0.5) - NetBSD 1.0 From ckuznetsov@earthlink.net Sat Mar 25 07:47:41 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!ukc!fennimore!earthlink!ckuznetsov From: ckuznetsov@earthlink.net (Camila Kuznetsov) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Discussion: Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1995Mar25.074741.6544@earthlink.net> Date: Sat, 25 Mar 1995 07:47:41 GMT References: <1995Mar24.020741.8617@netcom.com> Organization: EarthLink Network NNTP-Posting-Host: earthlink.net X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 9 In article <1995Mar24.020741.8617@netcom.com>, enilsson@netcom.com (Élodie Nilsson) writes: > Wrote an Amiga assembly program that uses Paula's DMA audio channels to sample and track the Stardust subcarrier. > When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization!
