The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. -- Brian Sánchez *PLONK* filter active for trolls.
