By setting up Paula's audio DMA to double-buffer incoming 8-bit samples, the 68020 has plenty of cycles left for the Costas loop. When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! Source code and executable will be released on Aminet under mus/misc/stardust_amiga.lha next week. -- Sergei Reyes -- Pacific Bell Internet Services "Measuring a record you own is listening, not piracy." Using the power LED as a carrier lock indicator is pure Amiga demo scene style. Kudos! -- Sven Martínez Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of MindSpring Enterprises. ------------------------------------------------------------ From tandersson@panix.com Wed Oct 26 00:49:05 1994 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!jpgate!kamome!panix!tandersson From: tandersson@panix.com (Tobias Andersson) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1994Oct26.004905.4762@panix.com> Date: Wed, 26 Oct 1994 00:49:05 GMT References: <1994Oct22.180805.2004@pacbell.net> <1994Oct22.194905.9648@stanford.edu> <1994Oct24.014805.3647@mindspring.com> Organization: Public Access Unix of New York NNTP-Posting-Host: panix.com X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 9 In article <1994Oct24.014805.3647@mindspring.com>, smartinez@mindspring.com (Sven Martínez) writes: > Using the power LED as a carrier lock indicator is pure Amiga demo scene style.
