The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. -- Bastien Robertson Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Purdue University Engineering Computer Network. ------------------------------------------------------------ From hivanov@inria.fr Mon Nov 20 19:37:40 1995 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!jpgate!kamome!inria!hivanov From: hivanov@inria.fr (Hana Ivanov) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Atari Falcon 030 Motorola DSP56001 code for Stardust carrier extraction Message-ID: <1995Nov20.193740.6476@inria.fr> Date: Mon, 20 Nov 1995 19:37:40 GMT References: <1995Nov18.105240.8624@cmu.edu> <1995Nov20.014940.4074@purdue.edu> Organization: INRIA Rocquencourt NNTP-Posting-Host: inria.fr X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 11 In article <1995Nov20.014940.4074@purdue.edu>, brobertson@purdue.edu (Bastien Robertson) writes: > Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market.
