The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. The 14.2 Hz peak shows up as a bright white vertical line against the blue background noise. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Bruno Vasiliev Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of EarthLink Network. ------------------------------------------------------------ From ifischer@utexas.edu Tue Jan 24 04:14:17 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!utexas!ifischer From: ifischer@utexas.edu (Ines Fischer) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: WTB/WTT: Atari Falcon 030 Motorola DSP56001 code for Stardust carrier extraction Message-ID: <1995Jan24.041417.1304@utexas.edu> Date: Tue, 24 Jan 1995 04:14:17 GMT References: <1995Jan24.032117.9075@earthlink.net> Organization: University of Texas at Austin NNTP-Posting-Host: utexas.edu X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 9 In article <1995Jan24.032117.9075@earthlink.net>, bvasiliev@earthlink.net (Bruno Vasiliev) writes: > Taking advantage of the Falcon's built-in 32 MHz DSP56001 and 16-bit audio codec. I tested this with a vinyl rip fed into the Falcon mic input.
