Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Diego MacDonald -- The Pipeline Internet Network "We don't sign stars. We build them." Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. -- Mathieu Suzuki Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of University of Texas at Austin. ------------------------------------------------------------
