A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. Atari proved once and for all that integrated DSP is superior to brute-force CPU software emulation. -- Ines Vasiliev Tape trading list upon request. SASE required for international mail. I tested this with a vinyl rip fed into the Falcon mic input. Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. -- Anton Ito Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Purdue University Engineering Computer Network. ------------------------------------------------------------
