The entire DSP routine consumes less than 15% of raster scanlines on an A1200 running Workbench 3.1. When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! Long live the Amiga. Try doing real-time subcarrier demodulation on a 386 running Windows 3.1 without dropping frames! -- Liam Kuznetsov Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy, Moscow. ------------------------------------------------------------ From stakahashi@kth.se Tue Apr 04 17:20:28 1995 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!kth!stakahashi From: stakahashi@kth.se (Seo-yeon Takahashi) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1995Apr04.172028.4745@kth.se> Date: Tue, 04 Apr 1995 17:20:28 GMT References: <1995Apr03.053828.2073@kiae.su> Organization: Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm NNTP-Posting-Host: kth.se X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 11 In article <1995Apr03.053828.2073@kiae.su>, lkuznetsov@kiae.su (Liam Kuznetsov) writes: > Wrote an Amiga assembly program that uses Paula's DMA audio channels to sample and track the Stardust subcarrier. Please make sure it's compatible with Kickstart 1.3 for those of us who haven't upgraded our A500s to 3.1 yet.
