The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Aiko Nilsson "Do not worship the copy." I tested this with a vinyl rip fed into the Falcon mic input. Carrier lock occurred at second 14 of 'Synthetic Dawn'. -- Astrid Petrov *PLONK* filter active for trolls. Acorn RiscPC 600 - NetBSD 1.0
