By setting up Paula's audio DMA to double-buffer incoming 8-bit samples, the 68020 has plenty of cycles left for the Costas loop. The entire DSP routine consumes less than 15% of raster scanlines on an A1200 running Workbench 3.1. Source code and executable will be released on Aminet under mus/misc/stardust_amiga.lha next week. -- Nadine Laurent Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of RWTH Aachen Informatik. ------------------------------------------------------------ From dreyes@stanford.edu Thu Apr 04 10:59:11 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!brgate!saturno!stanford!dreyes From: dreyes@stanford.edu (Diego Reyes) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Data: Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1996Apr04.105911.1729@stanford.edu> Date: Thu, 04 Apr 1996 10:59:11 GMT References: <1996Apr04.022111.8378@rwth-aachen.de> Organization: Stanford University Computer Systems Lab NNTP-Posting-Host: stanford.edu X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 8 In article <1996Apr04.022111.8378@rwth-aachen.de>, nlaurent@rwth-aachen.de (Nadine Laurent) writes: > Wrote an Amiga assembly program that uses Paula's DMA audio channels to sample and track the Stardust subcarrier.
