When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! I wrote a 64-tap FIR filter in pure 68k assembly using movem.l and dbra loop unrolling to downsample to 64 Hz. Long live the Amiga. Try doing real-time subcarrier demodulation on a 386 running Windows 3.1 without dropping frames! -- Jens Rodríguez Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Technische Universität München. ------------------------------------------------------------ From dmartinez@hanse.de Thu Nov 09 18:09:26 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-de!hansebox!hanse!dmartinez From: dmartinez@hanse.de (Dmitri Martínez) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1995Nov09.180926.3685@hanse.de> Date: Thu, 09 Nov 1995 18:09:26 GMT References: <1995Nov08.221626.1514@tum.de> Organization: Hanse-Netzwerk Hamburg NNTP-Posting-Host: hanse.de X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 9 In article <1995Nov08.221626.1514@tum.de>, jrodriguez@tum.de (Jens Rodríguez) writes: > Testing custom audio input routines on an Amiga 1200 with a standard parallel-port sampler. > When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! Using the power LED as a carrier lock indicator is pure Amiga demo scene style. Kudos! -- Dmitri Martínez Tape trading list upon request. SASE required for international mail.
