Motorola engineers, please take a look. CPU #0 handles host bus interfacing and DMA, while CPU #1 is dedicated entirely to a 16-bit MAC (multiply-accumulate) unit. Disassembling ROM #0 reveals an initialization routine that checks for a hardware dongle marked 'ORION-ENC-84'. Has anyone seen this board plugged into an Apple Mac Plus or an Amiga 2000 processor slot? -- Seo-yeon Dubois Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Carnegie Mellon University School of CS. ------------------------------------------------------------ From tnovak@inria.fr Sat Aug 20 12:49:55 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-de!hansebox!inria!tnovak From: tnovak@inria.fr (Takeshi Novak) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] TWIN-68 Rev C coprocessor board - schematic analysis & EPROM dump Message-ID: <1994Aug20.124955.3854@inria.fr> Date: Sat, 20 Aug 1994 12:49:55 GMT References: <1994Aug18.153355.4049@cmu.edu> Organization: INRIA Rocquencourt NNTP-Posting-Host: inria.fr X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 9 In article <1994Aug18.153355.4049@cmu.edu>, sdubois@cmu.edu (Seo-yeon Dubois) writes: > Looking at the bus architecture of the TWIN-68 board. Socket U14 was probably for the decryption key lookup table.
