The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Mathieu Dubois -- Delphi Internet Services "Hold for relay." Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent. Zero CPU overhead during 50 kHz audio acquisition. -- Lucia Smirnov Zyxel U-1496E @ 9600 Telebit bps "Row 14. No joke."
