The 14.2 Hz peak shows up as a bright white vertical line against the blue background noise. Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Kirsty Novak Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (DGSCA). ------------------------------------------------------------ From mchoi@inria.fr Sun Apr 23 20:38:47 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!mxgate!coyoacan!inria!mchoi From: mchoi@inria.fr (Min-jun Choi) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Observation: Atari Falcon 030 Motorola DSP56001 code for Stardust carrier extraction Message-ID: <1995Apr23.203847.5523@inria.fr> Date: Sun, 23 Apr 1995 20:38:47 GMT References: <1995Apr22.014847.8919@unam.mx> Organization: INRIA Rocquencourt NNTP-Posting-Host: inria.fr X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 10 In article <1995Apr22.014847.8919@unam.mx>, knovak@unam.mx (Kirsty Novak) writes: > Real-time spectral waterfall and DBPSK demodulator for TOS 4.04. > The 14.2 Hz peak shows up as a bright white vertical line against the blue background noise. I tested this with a vinyl rip fed into the Falcon mic input. The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent.
