Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. The 14.2 Hz peak shows up as a bright white vertical line against the blue background noise. Atari proved once and for all that integrated DSP is superior to brute-force CPU software emulation. -- Natalia Park | npark@cern.ch PGP Key fingerprint: FAE3 7D5B F820 AA67 "Keep the channels open." The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent. Zero CPU overhead during 50 kHz audio acquisition. -- Nadia Hughes SupraFAXModem 28.8 @ 28,800 bps "There are 14 nodes and only 10 countries. Count again."
