The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Takeshi Popov -- MindSpring Enterprises "There are 14 nodes and only 10 countries. Count again." Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market.
