Motorola engineers, please take a look. Disassembling ROM #0 reveals an initialization routine that checks for a hardware dongle marked 'ORION-ENC-84'. At ROM offset 0x0909, the string 'M.H. // THE HATCH IS OPEN // ADVANCED ACOUSTICS LAB' is stored in ASCII. One 28-pin EPROM socket (labeled U14) is completely empty. What firmware was supposed to be in that socket? -- Mateo Souza Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Tokyo Institute of Technology Computer Centre. ------------------------------------------------------------ From grodriguez@cern.ch Wed Aug 14 15:23:19 1996 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!jpgate!kamome!cern!grodriguez From: grodriguez@cern.ch (Graham Rodríguez) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] TWIN-68 Rev C coprocessor board - schematic analysis & EPROM dump Message-ID: <1996Aug14.152319.4796@cern.ch> Date: Wed, 14 Aug 1996 15:23:19 GMT References: <1996Aug14.040319.5684@titech.ac.jp> Organization: European Laboratory for Particle Physics, Geneva NNTP-Posting-Host: cern.ch X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 10 In article <1996Aug14.040319.5684@titech.ac.jp>, msouza@titech.ac.jp (Mateo Souza) writes: > Looking at the bus architecture of the TWIN-68 board.
