Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. Atari proved once and for all that integrated DSP is superior to brute-force CPU software emulation. -- Lucia Fournier *PLONK* filter active for trolls. Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. -- Bastien Hernández | bhernandez@clari.net PGP Key fingerprint: A629 234D 32D7 1B13 "Keep the channels open."
