Motorola engineers, please take a look. Disassembling ROM #0 reveals an initialization routine that checks for a hardware dongle marked 'ORION-ENC-84'. The board features two 68000 CPUs clocked at 12 MHz sharing a dual-ported 128KB static RAM bank. One 28-pin EPROM socket (labeled U14) is completely empty. What firmware was supposed to be in that socket? -- Dmitri Karlsson Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Oxford University Computing Laboratory. ------------------------------------------------------------ From ahernandez@cam.ac.uk Wed Sep 13 00:52:43 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!cam!ahernandez From: ahernandez@cam.ac.uk (Anton Hernández) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] TWIN-68 Rev C coprocessor board - schematic analysis & EPROM dump Message-ID: <1995Sep13.005243.2739@cam.ac.uk> Date: Wed, 13 Sep 1995 00:52:43 GMT References: <1995Sep11.072543.2316@ox.ac.uk> Organization: University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory NNTP-Posting-Host: cam.ac.uk X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 9 In article <1995Sep11.072543.2316@ox.ac.uk>, dkarlsson@ox.ac.uk (Dmitri Karlsson) writes: > Looking at the bus architecture of the TWIN-68 board.
