Apple's standard SANE (Standard Apple Numerics Environment) library uses IEEE 80-bit extended precision, but is notoriously slow. By passing the -mc68882 compiler flag in Think C, all sin/cos and sqrt operations compile directly to FPU opcodes. Anyone running this on a Quadra 840AV with the 68040? -- Lucia Santos | lsantos@earthlink.net PGP Key fingerprint: 1AA0 7420 0194 1E68 "Keep the channels open." Beware of System 7.5.1 memory leaks if you allocate large sample buffers in the application heap. Use NewPtrSys instead. -- Dong-hyun Laurent | dlaurent@u-tokyo.ac.jp PGP Key fingerprint: 5459 1536 E558 40B4 "Keep the channels open."
