When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! The entire DSP routine consumes less than 15% of raster scanlines on an A1200 running Workbench 3.1. Source code and executable will be released on Aminet under mus/misc/stardust_amiga.lha next week. -- Mei Santos Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of MindSpring Enterprises. ------------------------------------------------------------ From kmuller@netcom.com Mon Jul 25 01:20:55 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fi!relcom!kiae!netcom!kmuller From: kmuller@netcom.com (Kenji Müller) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1994Jul25.012055.5403@netcom.com> Date: Mon, 25 Jul 1994 01:20:55 GMT References: <1994Jul24.134755.3404@mindspring.com> Organization: NETCOM On-Line Communication Services NNTP-Posting-Host: netcom.com X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 11 In article <1994Jul24.134755.3404@mindspring.com>, msantos@mindspring.com (Mei Santos) writes: > Wrote an Amiga assembly program that uses Paula's DMA audio channels to sample and track the Stardust subcarrier. Brilliant use of Paula DMA! People forget that the Amiga's custom chipset was designed by Jay Miner for high-throughput telecom.
