Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. The 14.2 Hz peak shows up as a bright white vertical line against the blue background noise. Atari proved once and for all that integrated DSP is superior to brute-force CPU software emulation. -- Seo-yeon Campbell -- Public Access Unix of New York "The carrier frequency does not drift by accident." I tested this with a vinyl rip fed into the Falcon mic input. Carrier lock occurred at second 14 of 'Synthetic Dawn'. -- Raj Duarte US Robotics Courier V.34 @ ISDN 64k bps "5 sigma is a discovery. 7 is a question."
