By setting up Paula's audio DMA to double-buffer incoming 8-bit samples, the 68020 has plenty of cycles left for the Costas loop. When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! Source code and executable will be released on Aminet under mus/misc/stardust_amiga.lha next week. -- Bastien Eriksson Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Purdue University Engineering Computer Network. ------------------------------------------------------------ From csilva@earthlink.net Fri Jul 22 09:42:33 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-de!hansebox!earthlink!csilva From: csilva@earthlink.net (Camila Silva) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Question: Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1994Jul22.094233.5869@earthlink.net> Date: Fri, 22 Jul 1994 09:42:33 GMT References: <1994Jul21.194233.3833@purdue.edu> Organization: EarthLink Network NNTP-Posting-Host: earthlink.net X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 11 In article <1994Jul21.194233.3833@purdue.edu>, beriksson@purdue.edu (Bastien Eriksson) writes: > Amiga audio hackers: you can demodulate the 14.2 Hz carrier in real time without bogging down the OS.
