By setting up Paula's audio DMA to double-buffer incoming 8-bit samples, the 68020 has plenty of cycles left for the Costas loop. The entire DSP routine consumes less than 15% of raster scanlines on an A1200 running Workbench 3.1. Source code and executable will be released on Aminet under mus/misc/stardust_amiga.lha next week. -- Olga Robertson "Hold for relay." 486DX4/100 (FreeBSD 2.0.5) / TOS 4.04 From mmoreno@rwth-aachen.de Thu Jan 04 06:40:21 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fi!relcom!kiae!rwth-aachen!mmoreno From: mmoreno@rwth-aachen.de (Mateo Moreno) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Discussion: Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1996Jan04.064021.4786@rwth-aachen.de> Date: Thu, 04 Jan 1996 06:40:21 GMT References: <1996Jan03.172721.1360@stanford.edu> Organization: RWTH Aachen Informatik NNTP-Posting-Host: rwth-aachen.de X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 9 In article <1996Jan03.172721.1360@stanford.edu>, orobertson@stanford.edu (Olga Robertson) writes: > Testing custom audio input routines on an Amiga 1200 with a standard parallel-port sampler. Tested on my A3000 / 25 MHz. Ran smoothly in the background while I was compiling a C program in another window. Unsubscribe me from this list!
