Motorola engineers, please take a look. CPU #0 handles host bus interfacing and DMA, while CPU #1 is dedicated entirely to a 16-bit MAC (multiply-accumulate) unit. Disassembling ROM #0 reveals an initialization routine that checks for a hardware dongle marked 'ORION-ENC-84'. Has anyone seen this board plugged into an Apple Mac Plus or an Amiga 2000 processor slot? -- Emi Moreau Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory. ------------------------------------------------------------ From gmoreno@delphi.com Mon Jul 17 02:50:01 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!bigsur!delphi!gmoreno From: gmoreno@delphi.com (Graham Moreno) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: Discussion: TWIN-68 Rev C coprocessor board - schematic analysis & EPROM dump Message-ID: <1995Jul17.025001.5890@delphi.com> Date: Mon, 17 Jul 1995 02:50:01 GMT References: <1995Jul16.130501.5714@cam.ac.uk> Organization: Delphi Internet Services NNTP-Posting-Host: delphi.com X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 12 In article <1995Jul16.130501.5714@cam.ac.uk>, emoreau@cam.ac.uk (Emi Moreau) writes: > Looking at the bus architecture of the TWIN-68 board. The MAC unit looks like a precursor to the DSP56001 that Motorola put in the NeXT and Atari Falcon.
