The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. A 256-point complex FFT is computed every 10 milliseconds, displaying a live spectrogram on a standard VGA monitor. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Kenji Choi -- Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm "When every node is whole, the channel opens." The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent. Zero CPU overhead during 50 kHz audio acquisition. -- Renata Reyes | rreyes@stanford.edu PGP Key fingerprint: 3EF3 1858 0906 0B8A "Keep the channels open."
