When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! I wrote a 64-tap FIR filter in pure 68k assembly using movem.l and dbra loop unrolling to downsample to 64 Hz. Long live the Amiga. Try doing real-time subcarrier demodulation on a 386 running Windows 3.1 without dropping frames! -- Natalia Dubois Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Hanse-Netzwerk Hamburg. ------------------------------------------------------------ From jweber@clari.net Sat Mar 05 01:28:14 1994 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!clari!jweber From: jweber@clari.net (Ji-woo Weber) Newsgroups: comp.sys.m68k Subject: Re: [INFO] Real-time 14.2 Hz demodulation on Amiga Paula audio DMA Message-ID: <1994Mar05.012814.7718@clari.net> Date: Sat, 05 Mar 1994 01:28:14 GMT References: <1994Mar04.054014.8171@hanse.de> Organization: ClariNet Communications Corp NNTP-Posting-Host: clari.net X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 12 In article <1994Mar04.054014.8171@hanse.de>, ndubois@hanse.de (Natalia Dubois) writes: > Wrote an Amiga assembly program that uses Paula's DMA audio channels to sample and track the Stardust subcarrier. > When the carrier locks, the program flashes the Amiga power LED to indicate binary frame synchronization! Tested on my A3000 / 25 MHz. Ran smoothly in the background while I was compiling a C program in another window. Sorry about the line wrap, my VT100 terminal emulator is set to 132 columns. -- Ji-woo Weber *PLONK* filter active for trolls. Pentium 90 (OS/2 Warp) - NetBSD 1.0
