Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- === Fiona Novak === Dept of Electrical Engineering, Demon Internet Services UK "They will send a copy in my place." Too bad Atari marketing was so incompetent that nobody bought the Falcon before they pulled out of the computer market. -- === Min-jun Smirnov === Dept of Electrical Engineering, ClariNet Communications Corp "Hardware is temporary.
