Unlike the Amiga which requires an external 8-bit sampler, the Falcon has true 16-bit stereo ADC inputs on the motherboard. The DSP56001 processes the 44.1 kHz stream directly via the SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) without touching the 68030 host bus. Requires 4MB ST-RAM and an RGB or VGA monitor. -- Sergei Rodríguez -- Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (DGSCA) "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary spectra." The SSI to DSP56001 architecture on the Falcon is magnificent.
