Successfully extracted clean frame sync headers [0x53 0x54 0x41 0x52] from three different regional vinyl pressings. The original stardust.c v1.0 dropped sync whenever there was a scratch or surface pop on the record. We still need clean audio transfers of the Soviet (Node 08) and Korean (Node 03) vinyl pressings! -- Tomas Nakamura Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of University of Tokyo Department of Information Science. ------------------------------------------------------------ From jsanchez@mindspring.com Wed Jan 10 12:11:26 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!mxgate!coyoacan!mindspring!jsanchez From: jsanchez@mindspring.com (Jen Sánchez) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: stardust.c v1.3 - Costas loop stability & phase lock under Linux Message-ID: <1996Jan10.121126.1114@mindspring.com> Date: Wed, 10 Jan 1996 12:11:26 GMT References: <1996Jan09.124326.2288@u-tokyo.ac.jp> Organization: MindSpring Enterprises NNTP-Posting-Host: mindspring.com X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 8 In article <1996Jan09.124326.2288@u-tokyo.ac.jp>, tnakamura@u-tokyo.ac.jp (Tomas Nakamura) writes: > Notes on porting stardust.c to GCC on Linux 1.2 and optimizing the inner filter loops. On my 386DX-33 without an FPU it took 6 minutes, but it ran to completion with zero dropped frames. Great work! -- Jen Sánchez -- MindSpring Enterprises "Row 14. No joke."
