Each message frame begins with an 8-bit Barker sequence [11100010] for frame synchronization. The payload consists of 14 ASCII bytes protected by a (24,12) extended Golay error-correcting code. Has anyone encountered bit errors in their decoded text? The Golay decoder corrects up to 3 bit errors per 24-bit codeword. -- Renata Eriksson Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of The Pipeline Internet Network. ------------------------------------------------------------ From vlopez@pacbell.net Mon Dec 26 01:29:35 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!pacbell!vlopez From: vlopez@pacbell.net (Valeria López) Newsgroups: comp.dsp Subject: Re: Question: DBPSK demodulation of the 0.71 baud Stardust telemetry stream Message-ID: <1994Dec26.012935.3101@pacbell.net> Date: Mon, 26 Dec 1994 01:29:35 GMT References: <1994Dec23.231435.7962@pipeline.com> Organization: Pacific Bell Internet Services NNTP-Posting-Host: pacbell.net X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 10 In article <1994Dec23.231435.7962@pipeline.com>, reriksson@pipeline.com (Renata Eriksson) writes: > Mathematical proof of the modulation scheme used on the 14.2 Hz carrier across all regional pressings. > Each message frame begins with an 8-bit Barker sequence [11100010] for frame synchronization.
